Aquarium Innovations is a design, installation and maintenance company formed by two aquarium enthusiasts, John Coyne and Jacqueline Taylor. Recent college graduates, both John and Jacqueline have been employed at numerous aquarium stores and maintenance companies in both Texas and Oregon. Realizing that they wanted to make this hobby easier and more available to individuals who don't have the time and/or interest to maintain a beautiful saltwater aquarium, they started Aquarium Innovations. Both John and Jacqueline feel that each aquarium is a piece of nature's art, and thus strive to maintain the natural beauty of aquatic life within each aquarium. As a new company, Aquarium Innovations works intensely with each customer to make sure that they get exactly what they want. A.I. makes every attempt to remain cutting-edge in the technologies that are used in setups, and refrain from using dated and more expensive equipment common to other aquarium companies. Focusing on customer service and complete satisfaction instead of making the largest profit possible, A.I. truly gives its customers the best possible experience. Aquarium Innovations strives to maintain aquariums that are as environmentally friendly as possible. Focusing on conservation, energy-efficiency, and a sustainable lifespan for all aquarium inhabitants. A.I. attempts to stock aquariums with as many captive bred and/or MAC certified fish as possible, and makes every attempt to use aqua cultured corals when available. The use of such aqua cultured fish and coral diminishes the detrimental effect of collecting wild-caught inhabitants, and further encourages others to do the same. A.I. takes a strong stance against the use of corals and/or fish not suitable for aquarium life; livestock is carefully selected for compatibility and longevity. Aquarium systems are designed to utilize biological filtration methods found in nature, consequently reducing the amount of mechanical (i.e. expensive and energy-consuming) filtration necessary. Lighting is considered carefully as well. In all instances, A.I. encourages customers to opt for lighting that is both energy efficient and low heat, for example T-5 lighting, which, given recent advances in technology, is capable of meeting the lighting needs of almost all coral types. In some instances, such as specially requested deep aquariums, the use of stronger lights such as metal halide lighting is required. Nonetheless, A.I. makes every attempt to encourage its customers to utilize environmentally friendly options when designing a custom system. Recycling and hazardous material disposal is an ongoing effort here at A.I; please feel free to contact us about recycling and/or hazardous material disposal. Aquarium lighting must be disposed of properly, please contact us to find out how and where this can be done. |
